I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer. I've been contributing to Debian for 4+ years, initially contributing to pages in Debian Wiki. Since 2023, I've been the only maintainer of the mini-httpd project (upstream has not been active for years) and I would like to be able to upload my releases for the package I am actively maintaining. This could also include security patches which could necessitate quicker action. So far, quite a few bugs were fixed here and some new features were added such as a systemd service with hardening and sturdier error handling. Later, I would also like to adopt additional orphaned packages which need work and could benefit from my expertise. I am an embedded C engineer, I enjoy tinkering with Linux and C and view my contributions to Debian as doing "my part" to improve such an important project as Debian and my daily driver OS for almost a decade. I'm also hoping the Debian account could also provide a clearer contribution panel which would help me with scheduling the tasks at hand. I'm sure that would help me identify more urgent bugs more easily.
