Alkis Georgopoulos

I'm an I.T. teacher currently working as a system administrator for ~300 schools in Ioannina, Greece. I've been developing open source software since the 90's, but I've only joined the Linux community in 2008. Since then, I've become an upstream LTSP developer, an Edubuntu Council member, I've co-developed and co-packaged a classroom administration tool called www.epoptes.org, and tens of Greek-only educational packages. I'm currently leading a support team that has migrated 1000+ Greek schools to Ubuntu/LTSP, supporting them with software, apt repositories, documentation wikies, IRC/VNC/forums etc. We're evaluating the possibility to switch them to Debian/LTSP instead.

I'd like to become a Debian Maintainer and start by co-maintaining the ltsp and epoptes packages. I've already had sponsored uploads for some versions of them. Thanks!
