I switched to Debian sarge from other distributions 20 years ago and have been a Debian user ever since. In 2024 I started contributing fixes and improvements to the runit init ecosystem in Debian. My first packages, mcds and xchpst, hit the archive at the start of 2025. Six months and 22 uploads later I maintain four packages that I use, have got various other RC bugs fixed for trixie and am contributing updates through teams where I see an opportunity to help.

I am trying to make up on lost time - I wish I had realised how accessible contributing to Debian was and hope to help others contribute in due course! My main goal for the Trixie release cycle has been trying to make sure users who upgrade from Bookworm have a good experience, for example with my work on wtmpdb, which I have adopted.
