Short Biography
Hello! I came to Debian in late 2019 after the upstream dolphin-emu developer said of Windows 7 "The days are numbered for the aging OS." I knew that switching to Linux would be the only option if I wanted a secure, modern OS so I downloaded a Debian ISO and got stuck in.
I initially started packaging software on my own machine because I found the integration with other parts of the OS (e.g. application menus etc.) pleasing. This allowed me to learn the packaging software used by Debian. Even on private packages I always tried to adhere to Debian policy as much as my knowledge would allow. Now I would like to lend the skills I have picked up over the last few years in case others can benefit.
I initially tried to package the Citra emulator. That didn't end well due to problems upstream. I did learn a lot, though, and looking back it was probably for the best. I was very green at the time and have learned a lot since then. I recently joined the Debian Games Team and am a new maintainer for the ares emulator package. I hope to contribute more in the future!
