Yevhen Patlan

Yevhen Patlan is an open-source contributor and build and release engineer with nearly 20 years of experience working with Linux and software delivery.

For more than 15 years, he has been involved in building, packaging, and releasing software for various Linux distributions. Over the last 10 years, his work at Percona has included responsibility for build and release processes across Percona products, including Debian and RPM packages, binary tarballs, and container images.

His technical experience includes Debian packaging, RPM packaging, build automation, CI/CD, Docker, Jenkins, Python, Perl, Bash, and cloud infrastructure. He is particularly interested in reproducible builds, software supply-chain security, release engineering, database software, and improving packaging and automation practices.

Yevhen is an active supporter of open-source software and is interested in contributing his packaging and release engineering experience to the Debian community. He is also pursuing a PhD in Computer Science.
