I'm using Debian since 2000 at home and at work (as sysadmin) and I feel concerned about helping the Debian project and community.
Since 2013 with some other people, we worked on porting Debian on ppc64el architecture ( https://wiki.debian.org/ppc64el/DevelopmentTeam )
We bootstrapped Debian on this arch and started learning Debian, the inside, from scratch. I also started interacting with the community, when trying to fix FTBFS on different packages, pushing some patches for ppc64el enablement...
I learned about the processes especially the one for submitting a new architecture.
Till ppc64el became an official architecture in Debian Jessie, I participated in
the different works that made this possible.
Among others, I packaged several softwares, related more or less to ppc64el.
I'd like to continue working on Debian ppc64el support, maybe someday as DD, but
first, being DM would be great to continue working on the packaging I maintain.
