Jan Luca Naumann

My name is Jan Luca Naumann and I'm from Germany.

I have come in contact with Debian some years ago when I looked for an alternative Linux distribution to OpenSUSE. Since this time I normally used to have a Debian installation on my PC and around three years ago I decide to switch to Debian as my main operating system.

I was a great fan of the idea of free software since my teenager years. Shortly after my first notable programming experiences I start to help in the MediaWiki free software project. Since this time I regularly help if I can in open source projects with patches, bug reports, ...

The contact with the developer side of Debian has been made by one of my friends which is a Debian Developer. In Debian I already contributed the package "profile-sync-daemon"[1], "aufs"[2] and adopted the package "aufs-tools"[3]. Furthermore I uploaded the package "sedutil" which is waiting for review on mentors.debian.net[4]. Beyond that I try to find problems where I can help with my experiences and knowledge.
