I am a passionate system administrator and have been working with Linux for over 25 years. Since the "Debian Woody" release, I have worked almost exclusively with Debian, administering hundreds of systems. As a provider of geospatial services, we rely on open source not only at the operating system level but also utilize as many open-source projects as possible to carry out our work. Prior to becoming a Debian Maintainer, I assisted the Debian GIS team with backporting packages and packaged several in-house applications. I have been a Debian Maintainer since early 2025; in that time, I have introduced several new packages to the archive and support the Python team and more recently the Med team with bug fixing and upstream updates.
