Lives in Sweden, not far from the Arctic Circle.

Have a university education in computer science and have been working with Unix since around -85 and Linux since at least 2000. As for Linux, my primary distribution has been Fedora. I am member of the Fedora packaging team.

Lately, I have become involved in the OpenCPN project which develops navigational software for boats, partly since I'm sailing myself. OpenCPN users uses Debian/Ubuntu. I have of course been aware of Debian long before this, but this project made me approach the Debian community in a more organized way. After some initial roadblocks I'm now very happy working here. It is indeed a great community!

That said, I'm pretty focused: my main effort is about OpenCPN, a program which from a packaging perspective is non-trivial. I managed to re-introduce in Debian, and have over time learned bits and pieces about tools and processes. My plan is to continue this work.
