I'm a long time debian user. The first release I've installed on my computer just for testing it was debian potato. I've then switched to using debian full time a few years after that.

Through work I have been maintaining servers exclusively with debian for most of my carreer so far.

I've also been maintaining a handful of packages for a number of years. I started with smokeping which I was using through work at the time. And now I also have a handful of ruby packages in the archive. Now that it has been a while, I would love to be able to send packages on my own without the need to search for someone to sponsor my uploads. I'm also curious about debian's internal organizing structures.

In 2016 I had the chance to go to debconf in South Africa in order to prepare for the organization of debconf 17 in Montreal since I was a part of the local team of organizers for that year.
