Luke Yasuda

My full legal name is Lucas Yasuda but I usually go by Luke in English. I am a 1st gen immigrant living in Japan but was born and raised in China. I speak English, Japanese, and Chinese. I met Debian around 2021 and now run Debian on most of my personal servers (self hosting at home using a 42U rack). I started to contribute to free software in 2023, starting with GNU and Savannah. I used to run a Debian mirror at home (repo.jing.rocks) from 2023 to 2025 but had to temporarily shutdown because of networking issues. I adopted my first Debian package (postfixadmin) in late 2024, now I am the maintainer of 8 packages. I have also reported some RC bugs and sent patches to fix some of them in some packages. I helped organize miniDebconf25 in Asahikawa. This year, I also volunteered at Debconf26 with about 20 video team tasks. My main areas of interest are QA, i18n and l10n, "unpopular" architectures (arm64, ppc64el, riscv64) and hurd. I want to volunteer my time because I use Debian everyday and I want Debian to be better and I think it's the right thing to do.
