Hello,
I started to grow my interest on becoming a debian developer around 3 years ago but I didnt have much experience on packaging back then so decided it is best to grow and gain more practical experience.
I started playing with packages like xmutil, dfx-mgr, xrt and libdfx in a PPA as it was also part of my job, making experience better for Xilinx platforms. And at the start of this year around February, I decided to do my first official
contribution to debian by maintaining a package which is easier for me to test, that is https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/xlnx-image-update
I do have some contributions to debian packages via Salsa please see my profile here: https://salsa.debian.org/tchavadar/
And I have memberships in go-team, deeplearning-team and rocm-team and last 2 are the teams that I want to focus more and help more. Again it is a really good intersect between my personal passion and my work.
If I can get to be a Debian Maintainer, I would like to help development of the packages like pytorch, gloo, magma, llama packages and also ROCm (this is also my focus on Ubuntu) packages.
Sponsorships I got in Ubuntu: https://udd.debian.org/cgi-bin/ubuntu-sponsorships.cgi?render=html&sponsor=&sponsor_search=name&sponsoree=Talha+Can+Havadar&sponsoree_search=name
Packages I sponsored in Ubuntu: https://udd.debian.org/cgi-bin/ubuntu-sponsorships.cgi?render=html&sponsor=Talha+Can+Havadar&sponsor_search=name&sponsoree=&sponsoree_search=name
Best Regards,
Talha
