I recently participated as a speaker at DebConf 24, where I contributed as a Linux perf contributor by sharing the latest insights on the use of perf.
My session, "perf In Action" focused on real-world applications of this powerful performance analysis tool.
Anyone can find more details about my session here: https://debconf24.debconf.org/talks/43-perf-in-action-real-world-applications/
I'm GNU Linux Kernel contributor: https://lore.kernel.org/all/?q=Yunseong+Kim
I recently ported the perf wiki to Markdown format: https://perfwiki.github.io/
My primary area of interest is the IBM's Z and Power architecture.
I am particularly focused on Linux support for various non-Intel-based architectures, as well as emulation layers for open-source microarchitectures.
My recent contributions include identifying security vulnerabilities in the IBM Z architecture's memory subsystem within the Linux Kernel, which were documented.
