For nm.debian.org, at 2022-05-13:
I support Christopher Obbard <obbardc@gmail.com>'s request to become a
Debian Maintainer. I have worked with Christopher Obbard on qpwgraph,
rkdeveloptool and qdl (still in the NEW queue). I consider him as having
sufficient technical competence.
When I reviewed his packages for the first time, they were already in a good shape.
I could have directly uploaded them into the NEW queue. I had only nitpicks that he
quickly fixed.
Chris is fast to package new upstream releases that is pleasant and useful
for Debian. He has good communication skills that he uses to report issues
upstream. Chris also proposed to me some improvements in our way of working
together by using some GitLab features.
Moreover, he supports collaborative work as he proposed maintaining his
packages into team or collaborative repositories. This is a sign he cares
more about the quality of his packages than the ownership.
Chris and I work in the same company (Collabora Ltd.) on Debian derivatives,
I am glad to see him pushing and maintaining his work in Debian.
I have personally worked with Christopher Obbard <obbardc@gmail.com>
(key F18BDC8B6C25F90AA23D5174634DC4F0687046F8), and I know Christopher Obbard
can be trusted to have upload rights for his own packages, right now.
