For the past 18 months, I have worked with Emmanuel Arias on various packages in
the Python Team, mostly over IRC.

Throughout this period, I've witness Emmanuel coming in the project as a
beginner with little packaging experience and becoming an experienced packager.

Although most of the mentorship I've done for him has been answering questions
on IRC, I have had the chance to work closely with him on packages "poetry" and
"poetry-core". These two packages proved challenging to work on for him, as
they are Python build tools and required solving issues one would normally not
have to when working with something simpler.

During all the time I've worked with Emmanuel Arias, I've always been pleased
by his willingness to learn, adjust and grow. Moreover, he's gained my respect
through the hard work he's put in helping the Python Team tackle some hard
issues, such as packaging the aforementioned "poetry-core" and "poetry"
packages.

More recently, Emmanuel has started helping others with packaging issues and
reviewing packages in the Python Team. I'm very glad he is helping with this
and I wish him all the best in Debian, as a fully-fledged member of the
project.
