  Less than 3 months ago I requested, and got, DM status(1) to maintain the
  Apertium ecosystem(2) of packages. As it turns out, this ecosystem has a
  lot of packages that need a trip through NEW, which DM unfortunately
  isn't allowed to do.
  Hence, I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian
  Developer, uploading.
