I support Daniel Gröber <dxld@darkboxed.org>'s request to become a
Debian Developer, uploading.

Daniel actively maintains four packages of the yosys FPGA pipeline for
something that feels like an eternity for me now - I just checked, his
first upload was 1 1/2 years ago, but these are tricky packages that
grant ample of opportunity to prove himself. And Daniel does very well,
both technically and for how he is handling the interacting with the
various upstreams. Daniel long stopped to need me as a sponsor, if he
ever did. Technically I found him exceptionally capable and personally
I trust him. A DD status will help the science- and electronics-teams
to futher develop.

I have personally worked with Daniel Gröber <dxld@darkboxed.org> (key
57A1BF15B4F6F99B89EDB29FD39481AE1E79ACF7) for two years, and I know
Daniel Gröber can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have
unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I can't formally advocate Daniel's application as a DD, as I've only
uploaded one NMU prepared by him.

But I'd like to mention that I had various in-person talks with him, and my
impression is that he is technically competent, shares free software ideals,
and would be a good fit for Debian.

And having more DDs in Innsbruck would also be nice :)

Cheers,
gregor
