I support Jean-Pierre Giraud <jean-pierregiraud@neuf.fr>'s request to become a Debian Developer, non-uploading.

I have worked with Jean-Pierre Giraud in the french l10n and publicity teams
for more than 10 years and I consider him as having sufficient technical competence.

Jean-Pierre has been an active member of the french l10n team for more than 10 years. During that time, he took part in the translation and reviews of thousands of web pages, man pages, debconf screens, etc. on the l10n-french ML. On the DDTP, Jean-Pierre has translated 7394 package descriptions as of today, and reviewed 11753 of them.
He also coordinates the anti-spam effort on french speaking mailing lists.
But Jean-Pierre's contributions are not restricted to localization, as he's also an active member of Debian France and the Publicity team.

Jean-Pierre is thorough, reliable, and has a great sense of humor. In short, he's a joy to work with and I believe his membership is long overdue.

I have been working with Jean-Pierre Giraud <jean-pierregiraud@neuf.fr> in the publicity and webwml teams since 2014. 

He has been instrumental in most forward facing Debian media tasks as a mentor, a mediator, and as a contributor with a staggeringly impressive attention to detail and understanding of processes. 

In the Publicity Team he has been a solid member helping to author, edit, contribute, and review items that are within our role. After those tasks are completed he still dedicates the time to translate that and other works so that Debian is available to other languages. 

I understand he plays a large role as well in the translations teams across Debian and have seen many commits of his working in other areas of the project fixing items, translating items, and coordinating work across teams. 

I consider him to be an invaluable member of the Publicity Team and as a solid consistent contributor to Debian. 

Seeing his throughput throughout the project makes me proud to say that I would welcome him and know that he can be trusted as a full Debian Developer Non-Uploading.

I support Jean-Pierre Giraud <jean-pierregiraud@neuf.fr>'s request to become a Debian Developer, non-uploading.

I have worked with Jean-Pierre Giraud in the website and publicity teams for more than 8 years.

Jean-Pierre has been an active member as French translator and reviewer, but his contributions to the Debian website and publicity teams are not restricted to translations, he also reviews other people's work, fixes mistakes and he participates in team meetings and conversations in IRC. In the publicity side he is the person behind the regular publication of the post welcoming new DDs and DMs, and also contributes to the Debian Project News and micronews.
In the website team, in addition to a lot of French translations and proofreads (coordinated in the French Team) he also publishes security advisories (DSA) and keeps the French translation of the website in sync with the English changes very quickly.

I could meet Jean-Pierre in person in MiniDebConf Marseille in May 2019, in that time I was already confident that Jean-Pierre Giraud can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and wished that he takes this step because Debian can also benefit of his experience, contributions and participation as Debian Developer.

I support Jean-Pierre Giraud <jean-pierregiraud@neuf.fr>'s request to become a Debian Developer, non-uploading.
I have worked with Jean-Pierre Giraud on translating since 2018 and it is a very important member of this team. Reviewer, major contributor, but also ablt to manage with staff conflicts, he is a very important person. Jean-Pierre has a field of work which is great for the projhect (website, news, etc). Finally, he works with me in Debian France as second treasurer since 2023, and alos helps for booths (Toulouse or FOSDEM on 2022 and 2023). His involvement and his way to do it is really a breath for the project.

I consider them as having sufficient community, social and translation competence.

I met if physically three times, before 2020 and on 2022 and 2023.
