Details from gioele:

  For nm.debian.org, at 2024-09-08:
I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Developer,
  uploading.
My contributions to Debian started in 2013. In 2022 I became a Debian
  Maintainer.
My main interest is to make Debian leaner, more secure, simpler to
contribute to, and better suited to today's VM- and container-based
  world,
all while not losing sight of the needs of individual users that install
Debian on their personal devices. To this end, I have submitted hundreds
of bug reports, patches (BTS) and merge requests (Salsa) to dozens of
packages, in particular to core packages such as those fundamental to
the project (e.g., debhelper) or in the Essential set.
After years of contributing fixes and improvements, taking part in
discussions in mailing lists and IRC channels, reviewing the packaging
efforts of newcomers in #debian-mentors, I now feel it is time to
  participate more fully in Debian.
