I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer.  I hope I am not "jumping the gun" in applying for this change!
I have done jessie-backports for a while and I would like to be able to upload those in which I am listed in Uploaders...so far, they have been trivial backports, and at this point it seems like learning to upload packages myself is a good opportunity to deepen my understanding of and involvement with Debian.

At present I would only be uploading bpos for mcelog, bit-babbler, and sndio, and I hope to do more work with debian-multimedia-pkg.  I've also done some work on muse-el and am in the process of adopting the package (pending review), and am working on a couple new packages.  As I haven't yet sufficiently researched existing packages in the archive to see if they already provide the desired functionality, I might drop these projects without requesting a sponsored upload or any further review.

I'm also hoping that a Debian account provides an even nicer
at-a-glance contribution panel than the one at
contributors.debian.org/contributor/account, because I would like to be able to quickly identify anything that I might be neglecting.
