For nm.debian.org, at 2025-10-17:
I support Guido Berhörster <guido+debian@berhoerster.name>'s request to become a Debian Maintainer.
I have worked with Guido Berhörster on packaging Lomiri for Debian and
on the Lomiri upstream side (and various other FLOSS projects outside of
Debian) for the past 4yrs and I consider him as having sufficient
technical competence.
Some highlights of his work from the past 1-2 yrs:
* Prepare many packages for Debian NEW upload under
https://salsa.debian.org/ubports-team, most of his packages
only needed some minor fine-tuning.
* Upstream work on Dekko (E-Mail client for Lomiri): Here Guido
did an awesome amount of work to CMake'ify Dekko and make
it packagable in Debian
* Porting Morph Browser from Qt5 to Qt6 (WebEngine).
* Maintain DEB packaging for Ubuntu Touch (based on our Lomiri
packaging for Debian)
* Guido is one of the core maintainers of the PolisNL project
(where they/we redesign the Polis software for being used
within the EU legislation zone).
I have personally worked with Guido Berhörster <guido+debian@berhoerster.name>
(key 8F33352EB9A658B0AA0D96396BD602EFD4F9F862) for 4 yrs, and I know Guido Berhörster
can be trusted to have upload rights for their own packages, right now.
