I support Nicolas Peugnet nicolas@club1.fr's request to become a Debian
Developer, uploading.

I have worked with Nicolas Peugnet on the maintenance of the docker.io
ecosystem, specifically docker-buildx and docker-compose, for approximately one
year (since February 2025). I consider him as having sufficient technical
competence.

During our collaboration, Nicolas has demonstrated a strong grasp of the Go
packaging landscape within Debian. A notable example of his technical autonomy
was when he correctly identified missing dependencies required for our
packages—specifically golang-github-r3labs-sse—and proceeded to package and
upload them independently to the archive. This proactive approach significantly
eased the maintenance burden of the container tools stack.

Furthermore, Nicolas has proven to be highly responsive to Debian bug reports,
including critical issues. He reacts quickly to Release Critical (RC) bugs, as
demonstrated by his prompt handling of #1098392. His ability to diagnose issues
and interact constructively with the bug tracking system gives me confidence in
his diligence as a maintainer.

I have personally worked with Nicolas Peugnet nicolas@club1.fr for
approximately one year, and I know Nicolas Peugnet is ready for the Debian NM
process.

For nm.debian.org, at 2026-01-19:
I support Nicolas Peugnet <nicolas@club1.fr>'s request to become a Debian Developer, uploading.
I have worked with Nicolas Peugnet on arduino-cli, crazycomplete and jellyfin-desktop, and
I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.

For the last six months, I sponsored Nicholas' packaging of the 14 Go libraries needed as dependency
for arduino-cli.
Their work was always high-quality, and pleasant to review.
arduino-cli was not trivial to package, since it warranted quite a few tweaks with its packaging.
We collaborated on this package where they did a very diligent job with fleshing its copyright and
getting all go-specifics in place.
Furthermore, I sponsored their uploads of jellyfin-desktop and crazycomplete to NEW.

I have personally worked with Nicolas Peugnet <nicolas@club1.fr>
(key F2729905F199200899760545A2548B41BC3D2114) for more than six months now, and I know Nicolas Peugnet
can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.
