I support Syed Shahrukh Hussain <syed.shahrukh@ossrevival.org>'s request to become a Debian Maintainer.
I have worked with Syed Shahrukh Hussain on cryfs, enca, judy,  rdiff-backup-fs, ssmtp, utfcpp, and many QA uploads
for 6 months and I consider him as having sufficient technical competence.

Syed became very active on the sponsorhip-requests list and brought up many RC bug fixes for orphaned packages, which I appreciate very much. This kind of QA work is very essential to keep the archive in shape. That is why I have encouraged him to apply as DM.

I have personally worked with Syed Shahrukh Hussain <syed.shahrukh@ossrevival.org>

I have worked with Syed Shahrukh Hussain on a number of QA uploads and package adoptions over the past
6 months and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence. Syed was clearly focused on
reviving old and neglected packages, in need of some urgent TLC. Patches and other fixes were
consistently done well, with lessons learned applied to newer work.
