For nm.debian.org, at 2026-04-03:
I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer.
I have been a Debian Contributor since April 2025. My journey with Debian began largely through self-learning. During this time, I have developed and improved my Debian packaging skills with the help of my package sponsors.
I currently maintain 12 packages in Debian. Some of the notable ones include alien, enca, rdiff-backup-fs, and ssmtp, which I have worked on to salvage both downstream and upstream.
My primary contributions to Debian involve QA work, where I have fixed release-critical (RC) bugs and ported packages to newer API versions (e.g., fuse2 → fuse3). I have enjoyed every challenge involved in reviving old or unmaintained packages.
I aim to expand my maintainer portfolio and focus on salvaging and adopting packages that need attention.
Therefore, I would like to continue my Debian-related work more formally as a Debian Maintainer.
