I am happy to submit today, April 8th, 2017, my advocation to nm.debian.org for Michael Jeanson <mjeanson@ubuntu.com> (key 9866243242B6422779E20B6286561F452180FCFE) to become a Debian Developer. Michael is a a perfect match for Debian both in terms of technical skills as well as compatibility with the spirit and values of free software.

Michael is not only committed to the principles of the Debian project, but has also been a solid, contributor on a technical level for some time. He is a thoughtful and considerate contributor. I also know Michael personally, and our interactions are always positive and he is a pleasure to work with.

I am sure that Debian would be a better place with Michael as a Debian Developer, and I am confident that he can be trusted to be a full member of Debian with full upload privileges. I am happy to be able to be his advocate for this process!

I have personally worked with Michael Jeanson <mjeanson@ubuntu.com> (key
9866243242B6422779E20B6286561F452180FCFE) for several years now on the lttng
packages.  My trust in his technical ability in addition to his demonstrated
consistency, professionalism, and dedication to open source are certainly
deserving of unrestricted upload privileges.  Michael will make a great
addition to our project.
