Declaration of intent
The most important requirement for changing status in Debian is to make sure that a person actually intends to do so.

For nm.debian.org, at: Tue 9 Jan 18:12:04 UTC 2018
I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Developer,
uploading.
I have worked on MySQL packaging as a DM for a while and I would like to
be able to make security uploads which require a DD. Currently our team
gets blocked on these and the security team ends up having the sponsor
our security uploads themselves.
Some other aspects of Debian in which I am or have been involved:
I was the maintainer for mod-authnz-persona, though I removed the
package after Persona upstream shut down the upstream service that it
required.
I'm also listed as an Uploader for bcache-tools and bind9, though I have
not been active in those packages recently.
As an Ubuntu developer I regularly file bugs and patches in Debian.
According to https://udd.debian.org/cgi-bin/ubuntu_usertag.cgi the count
of my submissions this way is currently 155.
Thanks,
Robie
