for details about advocating someone to be a Debian Maintainer. You should be familiar with their
existing work within Debian and believe it to be of a sufficient standard that they can be
trusted with upload rights to the packages they maintain.
Please be verbose if you can. You may want to write the advocacy in a

Note: An email with your advocacy message will be sent to the

I support Kyle John Robbertze <krobbertze@gmail.com>'s request to become
Debian Maintainer. I have sponsored the packages blockui,
gnome-shell-extension-log-out-button, gnome-shell-extension-shortcuts and
gnome-shell-extension-show-ip for Kyle and it had very few issues that Kyle
could fix quickly.
I have personally worked with Kyle <krobbertze@gmail.com> (key
02F95A3F3E3B00A681B80FB5427E381D05190E55) for over a year now, and I know
Kyle can be trusted to have upload rights for his own packages,
unsupervised, right now.

I've personally worked with Kyle on a number of things. His first foray into Debian was volunteering to help out with DebConf16 in Cape Town. He didn't just volunteer, but he became an integral part of the video team. He reprised his role on the video team at DebConf17.
Kyle is a diligent, details-orientated worker who learns fast and picks things up quickly. Not afraid to jump into the deep end, Kyle is a hard worker.
I highly recommend him to become a DM. |
