I support Dustin Kirkland <dustin.kirkland@gmail.com>'s request to become Debian Maintainer.
I am a hug fan of his work on Byobu which I use daily -- and there is nothing better than having a motivated upstream maintain code. I am also quite appreciative of all the Ubuntu server work he has done, but less familiar with it. Ditto for his earlyer cryptographic work. But in sum it is clear that he has the skills required.
He is also a rather nice and friendly fellow. I first met Dustin close to ten years ago at a Canonical summit in Barcelona (which I attended for some R-related integration) as well as years later when he traveled to Chicago. We have been following each other on social media (ie Twitter) for years too and are friendly.
It would be great to have him in Debian.

I support Dustin Kirkland <dustin.kirkland@gmail.com>'s request to become
Debian Maintainer.
I have known Dustin for a long while now, starting when we were both
at Canonical working on Ubuntu. I've always found him to be extremely
friendly and smart. He's always trying to solve problems that other
people shy away from, and he's conscientious with his development and
packaging work.
He'd make a welcome addition to Debian!
