I support Xavier Guimard (x.guimard@free.fr, 54E1D219982E967558D575046ACEDAAE40DD2B46)'s
request to become Debian Developer, uploading.

Xavier is a member of the Debian Perl Group since a long time; I just
grepped around our packages' git repos and found his oldest changelog entry
from 2007, and some from 2008 and 2010, and so on. Currently he's in
d/{control,changelog,copyright} for around 275 packages.

Over the last years I've uploaded many dozens of packages he has prepared in
git, and I can confirm that he knows more than enough to become a full
project members as an uploading DD now.

Xavier has always been a pleasure to work with, is open to feedback, helpful
to others, and doesn't shy away from difficult tasks.

I recommend to accept him as an uploading DD.

Cheers,
gregor

For nm.debian.org, at : Wednesday, May 30th

I support Xavier Guimard <x.guimard@free.fr>'s request to become Debian
Developer, uploading.

I haven't been involved with Xavier Guimard on Debian packaging work, but I
know him since a long time.

I have personally worked with Xavier Guimard <x.guimard@free.fr> (key
54E1D219982E967558D575046ACEDAAE40DD2B46) on other projects (not related to
Debian) and I think Xavier Guimard can be trusted to be a full member of
Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I reviewed and sponsored these javascript packages (currently in NEW):
- - js-md5.js
- - aes-js.js
and i think that Xavier did know well debian policy and best practices and applied them accordingly. He is also well-mannered and easy to discuss with.

I did not work a long time with him on packaging, though, but should he get another advocacy, then i would say that Xavier Guimard can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.
