Declaration of intent

The most important requirement for changing status in Debian is to make sure that a person actually intends to do so.

This requirement has been approved by Housekeeping Robot <nm@debian.org> 7 years ago.

This process has been closed by gwolf on 2018-06-08: no further modifications are possible.

For nm.debian.org, at 2018-06-05:

I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer,
with guest account.

I now maintain 12 packages, which were sponsored by 6 different DDs. Most
of these packages are maintained in teams or co-maintained. I now feel
confident enough to upload some of them myself, without the need for a
sponsor, hence my DM application.

In the short term I plan to use the guest account to work on fscrypt,
which is failing to build on several archs, but an account is something
that would have come useful in other occasions. I already had a (now
expired) guest account in the past, which I used to fix a FTBFS on
GNU/Hurd. The archs I'd like to have access to are: mips, hurd, sparc64,
ppc64. I would ask for alpha and kFreeBSD too, but apparently there are
no porterboxes for those archs.

If you want to know more about me have a look at my NM short biography,
at my personal page on the Debian Wiki [0], or just ask, I'll be happy
to answer.

Thank you,

Paride
