I support Teus Benschop <teusjannette@gmail.com>'s request to become
Debian Developer, uploading.
I have personally worked with Teus Benschop (key
85EAFEE5CF2CD500736BD8DE93022BAD0563A51D) as part of the Debian
Crosswire Packaging Team for several years. In that time I have
collaborated with him on fixing bugs, packaging new upstream releases,
and creating new Debian packages.
Teus has experienced a few set-backs over the past year as he has
allowed his eagerness to overtake sound judgment. However, in the
limited cases where this has occurred, he has been most gracious to try
to correct any issues when possible and, most importantly, to learn from
the mistake.
When it comes to team activities, Teus has taken the initiative to
migrate our packages from Alioth to Salsa, has been the most active
contributor for packaging new upstream releases and fixing bugs, and has
done an excellent job of keeping the team's working repositories
updated. He has assumed responsibility for the team's most thankless
tasks and without his support our team's packages would not be in their
current excellent condition.
I know Teus Benschop can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and
have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.
