-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Hi Please make Nicholas D Steeves (currently a Debian Maintainer) a Debian Developer, uploading (advocated by dogsleg, pollo, taowa). Key E2A6261E3900AED7CDC667085A8830475F7D1061 should be moved from the 'Debian Maintainer' to the 'Debian Developer, uploading' keyring. Key fingerprint: E2A6261E3900AED7CDC667085A8830475F7D1061 uid: sten First name: Nicholas Middle name: D Last name: Steeves Current status: Debian Maintainer Target keyring: Debian Developer, uploading Forward email: nsteeves@gmail.com Details: https://nm.debian.org/process/745/ Nicholas D Steeves has accepted the DMUP in a signed statement. Details from sten: Fri 01 May 2020 04:11:20 PM EDT https://nm.debian.org/person/sten I hereby submit my application for DM to "DD, uploading" status. After four years of Debian contributions, and three years as DM, I believe it is clear that my continuing involvement is long-term. A brief résumé of my activities post-DM application are: 1. Increased involvement in our Emacsen Team. * Including mentoring new members and sponsoring their work. 2. Joining the DPMT and PAPT, less involvement than planned with the Multimedia Team. Slow progress with the QT/KDE Team, slow progress with the Boot/Installer team. Slow progress with my plans for better btrfs integration. 4. Increased familiarity and experience with package orphaning, adoption, NMUs, and salvaging. 5. Experience with coping with the massive volumes of email and ever-expanding TODO list; notmuch and org-mode have proven invaluable to this end. 6. A record of healthy and positive interactions with upstream projects, and with the general Debian community outside of the teams that I am part of; this includes a variety of participation on the BTS, and various mailing lists. 7. Gained a solid understanding about the relation between technical decisions and Policy, consensus, the diversity of opinions in how packaging is done, et al...and about how all this is related to the discussions on -devel, the sponsorship process, how the accumulation of decisions informs Policy, and much more. 8. Remained optimistic about the project, its ideals, and the realisation of these ideals, despite a lot of political and social ugliness in the last year. 9. Learned how to write more concisely. In addition to being able to vote in GRs and for the next DPL, I now also look forward to increased involvement with new contributors and the mentorship process. This will require the development of more effective teaching strategies, and I am inspired to meet these challenges. - -- Thank you, Joerg Jaspert (as DAM) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCgAdFiEEcty+znVan90Ug4AV81V4v5iAVmAFAl/+FTQACgkQ81V4v5iA VmACxg/+O7Ezxmq4KmyXEyLF9QI/GLKz9yuX4Fzyf1N+yGP2pNQk5P/vkoVdtJJf b7nnjv/dVYnguCyPds4nf/PV6c2Aw9kXKD5PS+0mc++himWK3IoKg9VP5547W3Q6 DG0dG/7/rwHFLC84Ou1iMbjblN/ZU+uY6giB8YUhrWwbsuaK4W4wmHZj19S5RMdx JjeM5N9gw94tZRlk+j6CiuUgE9cVY6B0VssXwV/45f5aV/1gBBWIahTYkyMozMgY R+pzdW74f3/WnumUBCTc8g3VmRQ+T1DNEVB6rFpkmjmhL605Wh4vbiIRS/aI2gYN NRomMu8ptU7HSDSLIOcJrzVL1RV1y35G38qmw2JyblQsnKrqiWdwrxIadqBuD9hY aX1/L/usGNv9Qaq/nXo/zouC9fS0gWH7AFm5g/Z4rYF7ns8tMHIqbNTFiW8Pfe4d nobGuDRRFoPoyoU/K/lu8oGtkigVp4UxDa+sYwZkmFo+QBxZ+G+KP5cIB/+N8QSq o3wc0nZzJ6G7oZwXJG9BkvtkCTJOvc6INKiqmCVRBhO7FtQSq7futIUfc90nMKBI brVe0zTjS5YRY6IX9Rgi5XvAriCIG4TdbJXQWFyjXzbV7Wjw3QanORmDoDRmohuB T15DoBLrVus8ojes77SmOakrQ/+jCKtnMAKSs5NVU0snxzmcg7M= =b/89 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
