Gordon did some good work on R packages specifically fixing or adding autopkgtests and other QA work. Since he intends to do some more work on R packages in Debian Science team and could do this more autonomously I would hereby support his intent to become a DM.

I support Gordon Ball <gordon@chronitis.net> in his quest to become a Debian
Maintainer. I have been sponsoring his work on the xonsh package since its
initial upload earlier this year, and I know that he has the skills, and can
be trusted, to maintain this package in Debian.
