I support Benjamin Kaduk <kaduk@mit.edu>'s request to become Debian Developer, uploading.
I have worked with Ben both in his role as a co-maintainer of the krb5 package and in his role as an upstream developer for krb5. I have watched his work on the openafs package and am familiar with his upstream work there.
I have watched him interact with the security and release teams, and work with users in our bug tracking system.
I've worked with Ben on licensing issues and complex packaging problems.
He demonstrated an understanding of our social contract, our approach to free software, policy and our approach to packaging.
I believe he has the necessary skills to have full, unsupervised access to the archive.
He's been responsible for handling upgrades to new upstream releases for krb5 and openafs. He's worked to resolve portability bugs with these packages. He's followed evolving standards such as our move to systemd.
I believe he will be a great member of the project.

For nm.debian.org, at 2016-09-09:
I support Benjamin Kaduk <kaduk@mit.edu>'s request to become Debian
Developer, uploading. I have worked with Benjamin Kaduk on various
Debian-related projects such as Debathena [1] and other open source
work such as OpenAFS, most recently intersecting on the openafs
backports package to Debian. His work is high quality and in
compliance with the Debian Policy.
I have personally worked with Benjamin Kaduk <kaduk@mit.edu> (key
D96195E04D8045FF4160FD1728D9A6F364EB7512) for the past 4 years, and I know
Benjamin Kaduk can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have
unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.
Sincerely,
- -Alex

For nm.debian.org at 2016-09-11:
I support Benjamin Kaduk <kaduk@mit.edu>'s request to become Debian
Developer, uploading. Ben has been working on the OpenAFS and Kerberos
packages in Debian for some time and has stepped up to do more of the
OpenAFS packaging work when I stepped down. I know from personal
experience that he does high-quality packaging work and understands
Debian's policies and processes. I fully support giving him full upload
rights to Debian.
