Declaration of intent
The most important requirement for changing status in Debian is to make sure that a person actually intends to do so.

For nm.debian.org, at 2021-10-16:
I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer.
I have worked on adapting the build process of Therion from make-based version 5.5 to cmake-based version 6.0 for a while and I would like to be able to maintain and upload Therion.

Hello Martin. Thanks for contributing to Debian and for applying to become Debian Maintainer.
However, I think it is maybe too soon to get the DM status, and there is maybe a misunderstanding about it. You can take a look at: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianMaintainer. To be more precise, you don't maintain any package yet, and while I see your work on Therion 6.0, I'd expect DM applicants have more contributions history (some months is OK).
Please note that, from what I can see, Therion has active maintainer(s), so you'll have to ask them to include you in the team. More important: you don't need to become DM to maintain packages; you still require sponsors though.
As a last comment, your gpg key has to be signed or endorsed by at least one Debian Developer.
Best regards,
