I have been working on a range of FOSS projects outside of Debian, for about 17 years.
Having been a Debian or Ubuntu user for about 20 years, I have been grateful for the reliable infrastructure this project provides, and have had a long-standing interest to contribute to it, but was often put off by the complexity of the work.
I am also interested in understanding better the human dynamics of the project, the governance structures and its culture, as part of a broader interest in the social dynamics of FOSS.
I have been packaging Rust software in Debian for about a year as part of the Debian Rust team. My first significant project was the packaging of uv, a popular Python package manager whose absence in Debian was hindering the work on various Python packages. I am interested in maintaining packages that I have uploaded so far as well as upcoming ones, mostly centered around software engineering tooling for now (difftastic, mergiraf, git-cliff).
