Sven Geuer

I am a software engineer and have been a Debian user since the days of Sarge.

After having dealt with a variety of Linux distributions at work I chose Debian to run my desktop for its reputation of stableness, for being community-driven, for being the foundation of other distributions and for its vast number of packages.

During the years I contributed by filing bugs but felt a growing desire to get involved more, when end of 2018 I noticed one of my favorite packages being orphaned. With the help of the Debian Security Tools Packaging Team I got the recent version of arno-iptables-firewall to be accepted into Buster. Since then I have been maintaining this package and contributed to others of the team.

After years of being a user I am happy to give something back and intend to maintain further packages where it fits my interests and knowledge.
