2016-10-14 18:26 tg - - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA384 I hereby advocate Dominik George (Natureshadow) for DM. I’ve worked on and off with him for the last couple of years, and especially in the last few months, his Debian packaging skills have skyrocked. Back in 2012, I had concerns; by now, these are no longer relevant — Nik is less… well, “young and quick to react in anger”… than four years ago, and he comes and asks around when he has problems, and even occasionally listens to me ☺ and he’s worked with a couple of sponsors successfully. He’s also a member of several packaging teams, from what I see, also with great success. Nik was also the main person behind bringing the infrastructure of Teckids up and running, which is currently trickling back into Skolelinux and Debian proper. I’ve done my share, granted, but mostly on the deep technical shut-up-and-hack level. I also know Nik does community support, but also individual support for Debian/Skolelinux, going far beyond what’s usually required from people doing such support. I’m working in the office right opposite Nik’s at $dayjob, so we have some interaction and I think I can judge quite a good part of him good enough by now. As things currently stand, I’m convinced Nik is ready for DM (although not DD yet, DM is a good stepping stone) and that his packaging and other (related and unrelated) skills are up for this job. //mirabilos -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.14 (MirBSD) Comment: ☃ ЦΤℱ—8 ☕☂☄ iQIcBAEBCQAGBQJYASGOAAoJEHa1NLLpkAfg/HsP/0gS1MUiReKnbFYMapDTrDBv 9fdtC18PGn4QGy0ioX5W7fqUtdTubP9u0JrcOY4ANa99S0omo0uHYM47OZ8sw2fo mvW8Q4gBtjSTPYx10+mVhh9ww/+sKccj5H33oUg1pZM+AJQ70ybwlrYrIX8OfgMg 8o9d5NFG5d/3j91b+7IpelbinzIMZ4aTbLyIAAR03SNS4WhvMP4HTEQcr2S4mxh1 xkbHp6pJsUE3QJgt2XuJo12yH/fPk7WyKM0IVHApQm2paZqoYQ38Kr/WlOQSUgDO l456w9rTmav5hxenChId9r+kBHafJEWOTbH4cQtXLTOgQMzGe03Jkm9g4lhKkdt+ /O6YGuqW4/SkLuMjxSFiv02sjajm5G/T/b3QHkt542H6pQmKW/JnRcWp2NY0vU71 totAjQxOBwWnUK8c6m5iqHktnxReWaoj9niDMbGR+sI7MdK3rjnYfzo0t0nJU5MA oUtCZGb71k4kgaUHvggT96iAEmdT4ZCnkGApmvoR8aOO51RBxDDEyQznAPWkoA6z 02lm5nJxNvtP40fMLviC+2P7iwpYQtWfdyU7nYNfIXLn/8jrxsm7SaCiDCRbDtWV 8z0OwHWnDjFOy37wqXLfPrJryJhn8lNz3smohUctAuBCht8H3fCE/+Tkin2bIB9o Wuzk7B0j9DxmJT2LY7wu =l5hW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- yes
