I support Alper Nebi Yasak <alpernebiyasak@gmail.com>'s request to become a Debian Maintainer.
I have worked with Alper Nebi Yasak on depthcharge-tools and I consider he already has high technical competence in debian packaging. He acquired that knowledge beforehand. He must have been a DD in a previous life.

Interactions were easy, polite, and efficient.

It makes a lot of sense for his package, https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/depthcharge-tools, which is a crucial part of enabling debian on chromebooks. I also trust him to participate more in that direction.

I've reviewed quite a few bits of Alper's work in d-i, and he's shown good tecnhical expertise and patience through the process. We also met up and talked about things at DebConf. I think he'd be a good person to have doing more Debian work.
