Declaration of intent
The most important requirement for changing status in Debian is to make sure that a person actually intends to do so.

For nm.debian.org, at 2023-06-02:
I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Developer, uploading.
I contribute to Debian since 2014, from bug reports to new packages introduction
and I became DM in 2020.
I first volunteered to adopt several packages that looked abandoned (jack, mp3report,
solfege, freefem++, flighcrew...), then I've introduced new packages that I use on a
daily basis (taptempo, gtg, f3d).
Being mentored is a great experience and I've discovered the collective maintenance
of packages, which I like! I then met several great DD who taught me a lot beyond
packaging like copyright pitfalls, library SOVERSION/SONAME bump or Porterboxes.
I've attended Debian Reunion Hamburg in 2022 and 2023, and I've discovered the
social side of Debian. I then helped Science Team to get rid of old versions of VTK
and I've contributed to new upload of the ceres solver. I'm also member of Python
Team and HPC Team.
Within the Debian project, I like the slow pace that allows me to do things right
without any quality compromise. I also like the impact beyond the Debian project,
with the upstream patch report for example, and I'm amazed of the diversity of the
members. Working together is so natural and easy beside all of our differences.
Now, I would like to be more involved in the Debian community to be able to help
broadly on the technical side and on the social side.
