For nm.debian.org, at 2023-09-27:
I support Kannan V M <kannan.mail@disroot.org>'s request to become a Debian
Developer, non-uploading. I have worked with Kannan V M in DebConf23 visa team
recently and before that in Free Software Community of India (FSCI). We have
worked together in organizing many events for many years and I consider them as
having sufficient technical competence. He also takes care of accounting of
FSCI services (we provide communication and collaboration services for the
public funded by donations). He has strong commitment to Free Software
philosophy and will be a great member of our community.
I have personally worked with Kannan V M <kannan.mail@disroot.org>
(key DBDD6B76766D48D2725E837CBBDA0985939D8378) for many years, and I know
Kannan V M can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, right now.

I have worked with Kannan V M in organizing a number of local events since 2016 and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.
He played a very crucial role in organizing DebConf23 and in addition in MiniDebConfs, DebUtsavs, Debian release parties, install fests etc in Kerala, India. Kannan is a very vocal free software and Debian advocate.

I have worked with Kannan V M on multiple occasions.
- We were in DebConf23 core Local team.
- We are permanent members of Free Software Community of India
These are to name a few. He and his team's work on transforming Janayugam, a
daily newspaper in Kerala to Free Software from proprietary software is quite
famous. Kannan has been instrumental in organizing many Free Software events in
Kerala. He is very good at chairing meetings and also handle accounting for FSCI.
He has strong commitment to Free Software philosophy. I consider them as having
sufficient community, social and technical competence.
