I support Aquila Macedo <aquilamacedo@riseup.net>'s request to become a Debian
Maintainer. I have worked with Aquila Macedo on multiple ruby packages for one
year and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.

Aquila pays attention to details and is always trying to upskill and learn the
best way to do things. He is part of the Debian community in Brasilia and is
constantly helping others to start to contribute to the project. I trust him to
take the best decisions regarding the packages he maintains and when in doubt
to ask more experienced people.

I have personally worked with Aquila Macedo <aquilamacedo@riseup.net> (key

Macedo can be trusted to have upload rights for their own packages, right now.

I support Aquila Macedo <aquilamacedo@riseup.net>'s request to become
a Debian Maintainer.

I have worked with Aquila Macedo as part of Debian Brasília's
mentorship program for new contributors for more than 1 year and I
consider them as having sufficient technical competence to be a Debian
Maintainer and take care of his own packages.

Aquila's skills have steadily improved since I started working with
him, and he is now studying more complex packaging topics like the
maintenance of symbol files, autopkgtest and others. I am happy to
see Aquila's willingness to improve and increase his involvement with
the project, and I am sure he will continue to be a valuable Debian
member.
