Dear readers of debian-newmaint (nm.debian.org),

I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer.

I am currently working on upgrading Gradle and its dependencies and I'm
planning to maintain some of them in the future as an uploader and member of
the Java team. I'm also planning to work on Groovy and Kotlin after that
upgrade.

There are many packages involved in these upgrades with many intermediate steps
to be observed to minimize upgrade and rebuild issues. Being a non-sponsored
uploader for these packages would make it way easier for me to schedule the
upgrades and reduce the turnaround time.

Although I haven't completed any sponsored package upload yet I'm filing this
application now, hoping to get it finalized by early 2025.
