Declaration of intent

The most important requirement for changing status in Debian is to make sure that a person actually intends to do so.

This requirement has been approved by Housekeeping Robot <nm@debian.org> 1 week, 3 days ago.

For nm.debian.org, at 2026-05-08:

I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer.

I have been contributing to Debian by adopting and maintaining packages in
the Debian .NET Team (dotnet-team). My recent work includes:

- - Adopting mono (6.14.1+ds2-3), now accepted into unstable, where I am the
listed Maintainer. This involved updating packaging standards, fixing build
system issues, and coordinating the cli-common removal effort.

- - Filing ITA #1079870 for libgdiplus and preparing an adoption upload
  with packaging fixes.

- - NMU for hexbox (1.5.0+dfsg-1.1, DELAYED/2), fixing grave bug #1133408
caused by an incomplete cli-common removal in the previous upload.

- - Contributing to the broader cli-common removal campaign (bug #1111276),
auditing reverse dependencies and preparing fixes.

I would like to be able to upload mono, libgdiplus, and other Debian .NET
Team packages independently as a Debian Maintainer, with DM-Upload-Allowed
already set in those packages.

My sponsor for the mono upload is Antoine Le Gonidec <vv221@debian.org>.
