Declaration of intent
The most important requirement for changing status in Debian is to make sure that a person actually intends to do so.

For nm.debian.org, at 2026-05-23:
I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian Maintainer.
My current Debian work is around clnkr, a small Go command-line coding agent maintained under the Debian Go Packaging Team. I filed ITP #1135616, packaged clnkr using the Go Team workflow on Salsa, and Stephen Gelman sponsored the initial clnkr 0.3.11-1 upload to unstable. I am listed as an uploader for the package. I have also contributed patches to the pgbouncer packaging.
I am applying for Debian Maintainer status so Stephen Gelman can grant me package-specific upload permission for clnkr. clnkr is still moving quickly, and package-specific upload rights would let me handle routine clnkr uploads while continuing to ask for review when changes are non-trivial or when I am unsure about Debian packaging details.
