I support Matheus Polkorny <polkorny@disroot.org>'s request to become a Debian
Developer, uploading.
I have been working with Matheus Polkorny on packages which are team-maintained
by the Debian Security Tools Packaging Team. The first contact dates back to at
least March 2025. He regularly packaged new upstream versions or prepared bug
fixes. Where applicable he got in touch with upstream projects, e. g. to
forward patches or to discuss issues. I reviewed/sponsored his work on the
following packages: hashrat, autolog, shed, sucrack, medusa, hcxtools, sherlock
(only review, upload done by someone else), vinetto, and wig. He also did the
initial packaging of two additional (build) dependencies of the dnsrecon
package. I reviewed/sponsored one of them (python-stamina). The latter happened
in the context of the Debian Python Team.
Judging from my interaction with him so far, I am convinced that he has the
technical and social skills to become Debian Developer.
I have personally worked with Matheus Polkorny <polkorny@disroot.org>
(key 7110FF7C72ED772A5447628A4A1CA85A38FBEE5A) for more than a year, and I know
Matheus Polkorny can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have
unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I have worked with Matheus Polkorny on the pkg-security team's packages (libsmb2, medusa, rifiuti2) and on rsync
for over two years, and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.
I have reviewed and sponsored a broad range of his uploads: QA uploads of
orphaned packages, team uploads carrying new upstream releases and their
dependency transitions (medusa through freerdp2->freerdp3), ongoing maintenance
of packages where he is the Uploader (libsmb2, rifiuti2), and a correctly
executed NMU via DELAYED with a Salsa MR offered first (libpst). He handles the
work that gates a release: RC/FTBFS fixes across toolchain transitions (GCC-15,
C23, an arm64 build failure on ViSP), DFSG repackaging, and security end to end
(CVE-2025-57632 (libsmb2) and CVE-2025-10158 (rsync)), each fixed in unstable
and backported to stable and oldstable.
