Declaration of intent
The most important requirement for changing status in Debian is to make sure that a person actually intends to do so.

For nm.debian.org, at 2026-08-05:
I would like to apply to change my status in Debian to Debian
Maintainer, with guest account.
I already applied for Debian Developer, uploading, but only later
noticed that I never completed my DM process from 2019.
I think it makes sense to first complete the DM process before
continuing the DD process.
So, I am Debian Contributor, with guest account since 2019-04-07 and
use Debian since the early 2000. According to contributors.d.o my
first contribution dates back to 2007. I maintain anytun, uanytun,
kthresher + recap (with the help of mika and zeha. Thank you for your
support!) since 2017 and I attended DebConf18 + DebConf26.
I am also Grml-Developer and as such have a lot contact points to
Debian issues.
Please note, I am currently on vacation until mid of September, me
responses might be delayed.
Best,
- Darsha (jkirk)
