I hereby support Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>'s request to become Debian
Maintainer.
I have been working with Simon under the Qt/KDE umbrella, specially within Qt
itself. He has the required knowledge and skills to start uploading packages
himself, not only technical but social. In fact working with him has been a
real pleasure so far.
We will still be working together in the packages I plan to give him DM
permissions because they are under team maintainance and most of them are
C++ libraries, where having an extra pair of eyes is always most welcomed.
He still needs another signature in his key to start the DD's NM process,
once he has accomplished that I'll happily advocate him for DD too.

For nm.debian.org, at 2018-02-04:
I hereby support Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>'s request to become Debian Maintainer.
I have worked with Simon for more than a year, on a variety of packages.
Even thought I personally sponsored only a handful of packages for him, I helped him
with many others, including some not-so-trivial library packages, whish made me
confident of his technical skills.
Also his social skills are great: he is more than able to constructively interact
with other developers.
I have personally worked with Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>
(key 5C7ABEA20F8630459CC8C8B5E27F2CF8458C2FA4), and I know Simon Quigley can be
trusted to have upload rights for his own packages, right now.

I have worked with Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com> for more than a
year now, mostly on the Qt packages but also on some other KDE-related
packages.
I have seen him creating new source packages, updating the existing
packages, fixing various bugs and preparing the transitions. He does all
these tasks fine.
I totally support his DM application (and the potential future DD, too)
and trust him for working on our Qt/KDE team packages.

For nm.debian.org, at 2018-05-08:
I support Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>'s request to become Debian Maintainer.
I have worked with Simon Quigley for months, and I really appreciate his hard and good work.
I have personally worked with Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com> (key 5C7ABEA20F8630459CC8C8B5E27F2CF8458C2FA4) for more than one year,
even if focused on Ubuntu, and just few Debian uploads for him, but I really know Simon Quigley can be trusted to have upload rights for their own packages, right now.
As other people already said, I would like to see him as DD sooner than later.
(he is probably ready right now)
