For nm.debian.org, at 2018-08-24:
I support Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>'s request to become Debian Developer, uploading.
I've worked with him for a couple of years already, seeing him grow from pretty
much nothing to his heavy involvement with the Debian Qt/KDE team.
Even thought I personally sponsored only a handful of packages for him, I helped
him with many others, including some not-so-trivial library packages (including
the most recent Qt transition, I've watched him doing most of the work of
preparing and handling all of it), which made me confident of his technical skills.
He loves to do good work everywhere, often seeking suggestions from his peers on
how to do things better, and he doesn't shy away from challenges or new things,
making him a great asset for all teams to have.
Also, I don't think I ever saw him breaking something and leaving it broken for
others to fix, which is also nice.
I have personally worked with Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>
(key 5C7ABEA20F8630459CC8C8B5E27F2CF8458C2FA4) for 2 years, and I know Simon
Quigley can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised,
unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I support Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>'s request to become Debian
Developer, uploading.
The majority of Simon's packages in Debian are the Qt packages, and this
is where I have worked most closely with him. I sponsored his first Qt
upload in September 2016 during the Qt 5.9 transition (qtwebsockets),
since then he has become a core member of the Qt team, and he did most
of the work during the last Qt 5.11 transition.
He is good at various tasks such as updating to new upstream versions,
managing symbols files, backporting patches, etc. He also knows about
common Debian procedures, such as NMUs and transitions.
I believe Simon Quigley can be trusted to be a full member of Debian,
and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I have personally worked with Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com> for a
sufficiently long time and I know Simon can be trusted to have full,
unsupervised, unrestricted upload to the archive right now.
Simon has been working in the Qt/KDE team for quite some time now, where I
saw him preparing a Qt release almost all by himself.
It's no secret that we in the Qt/KDE team have different ways of doing stuff
or taking decistions than in Ubuntu, and as he comes from an Ubuntu related
background he had to learn those differences. And he did, and quite well.
I have been pestering him with different library packaging questions since a
while too (and actually I'm also pestering him right now, now with more nit
picking details) and he has always been up to the task, not doubting in
asking if needed.
And yes, he has been a DM for not so long, but hey, managing Qt is not precisely
the easiest thing around, and he has achieved success so far.
Last but definitely not least (and actually I think one of the most important
skills a DD must have): he is a nice person to work with. So definitely an asset
for the project.

I support Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>'s request to become Debian Developer, uploading.
I have worked with Simon Quigley for months,
and I really appreciate his hard and good work.
I have personally worked with Simon Quigley <tsimonq2@ubuntu.com>
(key 5C7ABEA20F8630459CC8C8B5E27F2CF8458C2FA4) for more than one year and half,
even if focused on Ubuntu, and just few Debian uploads for him,
but I really know Simon Quigley can be trusted to have upload rights for the whole archive, right now.
As we said already when he applied for DM, I would now like to see him as uploading DD.
