I support Paul Hardy <unifoundry@unifoundry.com>'s request to become Debian Developer, uploading.

I have worked with Paul Hardy on updating maintainer's guide and debmake-doc. His patience and dedication into good style with content is very much appreciated.

He works on area not many other people work on ... FONT. Time consuming and needs to be detail oriented. We need people like him to keep Debian as good distribution.

volunteering at the Debian booth and the GNU booth. Paul is the main maintainer
of GNU Unifont, and is passionate about free software. I know Paul Hardy can be
trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted

I have personally worked with Paul Hardy <unifoundry@unifoundry.com>
<95D2E9AB8740D8046387FD151A09227B1F435A33> for a sufficiently long
time and I know Paul can be trusted to have full, unsupervised,
unrestricted upload to the archive right now.

I have sponsored Paul's uploads of the unifont package for a number of
years. He has always been very responsive to feedback and has worked
to improve unifont as both its upstream and Debian maintainer.

Paul has recently created and uploaded unibetacode, utf8gen, and
utfcheck. He has helped update developer documentation and
contributed patches to other packages. He has helped me prepare
releases for markdown.

Paul has volunteered at the Debian booth at the Southern California
Linux Expo for many years.

This statement is to support Paul Hardy <unifoundry@unifoundry.com>
as a advocate for his request to join the Debian Project. I have
spent considerable time with Paul in the Debian booth at the SCALE
conferences for the last few years. I have observed his commitment
to our project and it is my belief that he will be an asset that
strengthens Debian. While we have had different employers and never
worked together on the same project, I can testify that he has
gained many skills over the years that will be useful within Debian.
We have shared a similar career path within a niche industry that
has exposed us to numerable computer technologies and software systems.
I am in a unique position to confirm that his experience provides a
rare and valuable insight into the usage and development of computer
systems that our user community depends upon. While his passion for
fonts is noteworthy, the broad skills and experience he will bring
to Debian cannot be adequately revealed here and I hope that our
project welcomes his contributions.
